Winfield was named the mural capital of Kansas by the Kansas Sampler Foundation in 1999 due to the quantity and quality of it's murals.  Explorers can visit many of the murals via a self-guided driving tour.  However, a few of the more outstanding murals are located in local businesses, such as "The Beginnings" mural inside Cornerbank.
