About this Exploration:  Climb the 17 1/2 steps and once inside, imagine 100 years of claps, laughs and musical enchantment in the Waterville Opera House. Gaze up to discover the embossed, coffered ceiling with an ornate brass chandelier. Notice the rounded architecture of the walls to either side of the stage that enhance the acoustics of this grand old venue for plays, musical performances, weddings and more. The Valley Heights "youth all-stars " take the stage every summer. Also, the Waterville Summer Theater Group offers productions, as does the Marshall County Arts Cooperative. Musical entertainers from near and far have made the walls sing with their music, dance and comedy over the years. The opera house has been placed on the National Register of historic places.
