Before its founding, the whole town moved three miles west from its original spot. In 1909, banks, saloons, and community buildings were moved on skids or wagon to the location Ulysses now sits.
A true tale of money, hard-fought victory, debt, escape, and
desperation made Ulysses the town it now is. For more information and a walk through
