About this Exploration:
This mural called "Raising the Timbers of the Old Dutch Windmill", depicts the contruction of the windmill in 1879. Nelson Chubb painted the mural in 1967 and gifted it to the Smith County Courthouse. He and his wife Nettie were both painters. You will see their story in the People section of Smith Center.
