About this Exploration:

A unique character the 1920s, Indian Slim was a feature rider for the fabulous 101 Wild West show and he worked on the 101 Ranch near Ponca City, OK.  He came to Sedan with a wagon to live in and horses to train, sell or trade.  He was a middle man in cattle and horse sales and a gambler who wore shiny red high top boots.  He chose his name, John Camel from the cigarette package in his pocket.  Born Andrew Denton in 1885, died in 1971.

Visit his grave at the Greenwood Cemetery. Go on East Main Street to the cemetery, turn in at first gate, go past three roads on your left to find  John Camel's gravestone next to the road.
