Plainville, Kansas is anything but "plain."   Once known as the "Queen City of Paradise Flats," the town sits on a relatively flat plain near the Paradise Creek.   Venture around the community in any direction, however, and you will find diversity in the landscape--lake to the west, rolling hills to the south and north, and river valley to the east.

 

Look around town and you'll find "Explorer" gems like the rock benches in the city park, a world-renowned furniture design company downtown, and beautiful Rooks County art in the lobby of the new hospital.   This old oil boom town will come alive if you give it a chance.  Enjoy your travels!!
