The Cardinal Drive-In for many years was a fixture in the Plainville community.  Starting as an A&W in the 60's, it soon became a locally-owned restaurant known for their good food--The Cardinal, as it was called. 

 

After operating for many years, the restaurant then set idle for several years before being purchased and renovated in April of 2010.

 

While most of the menu is the regular fare, not many places in town are going to offer you a big breakfast.  That is where the Cardinal comes in.   Enjoy an omelet, pancakes, or eggs made to order. 

 

If you are in town on Friday, stop by for $2 Hamburgers.  Be aware though, it draws a crowd!

 

Take the time to view some of the historical Plainville pictures on the wall or the paintings on the wall reflecting the "Plainville Cardinal" spirit that thrives in the community.

 

Hours of operation are 6 a.m.- 9 p.m. daily.
