Come see cornhusking before there were combines - with horses, wagons and hooks! Join in the competition - Rookies welcome! We'll train in the field. Friday - VIP Corn Cook-Off 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. downtown Oakley - Center Avenue. Look for the Hometown Teams VIP corn Cook-Off sticker in downtown businesses and come taste the entries and vote for your favorite. Saturday - Indoor and outdoor FESTIVAL ACTIVITIES include an outside rural tractor display, corn toss and a corn pile money dig for the kids. Inside activities include a pumpkin carving/decorating contest, make and take activities. The annual Kansas State Cornhusking contest takes place in the corn field. There is food and fun for all!  |
