About this Exploration: Directions: From Highway 36 & 77 Junction, go 3 1/2 blocks South - the stadium sits behind the school on your left.
The Marysville High School Football Stadium was completed in 1936 as a WPA Project. It is one of the state's finest WPA football stadiums and is still in use today.
During the Great Depression of the 1930's the federal government set up a number of programs to provide work for the unemployed. The best known is the WPA (Works Progress Administration).
