Mid-America Air Museum allows aviation enthusiasts to get up close and personal with over 105 aircraft. Liberal, once home to a Beech Aircraft manufacturing facility and a B-24 Liberator pilot training base during World War II, established the museum to preserve a proud local, state and national aviation heritage. Exhibits include displays that allow visitors to climb into a cockpit and see the pilot's view or actually work the controls and see the effect on the plane. Visitors to the museum take a self-guided tour and can stay as long as they like among the planes, most of which are housed inside.
