Since 1962, the Campas family has been serving up their own special-style of Mexican food at Charlie's Restaurant from recipes created and passed down in the family. Charlie's Restaurant was one of the first Mexican restaurants established in western Kansas and continues to be a popular destination in Leoti. Try their famous Charlie's Special, a crispy fried flour tortilla topped with refried beans, Charlie's special pork chili, shredded cheese, lettuce and tomato. Or how about a chili relleno or chili verde dinner?  Or maybe a flauta or quesadilla? And top it off with sopapillas - a real explorer treat!

 

Charlie's Restaurant was a top 24 finalist in the 8 Wonders of Kansas contest in the rural culture element of Cuisine category and is the 8 Wonders of Wichita County Cuisine winner.
