Comforts of Home City JailAddress:
Across alley west of 319 Elmore Street
About this Exploration: ![]() All the Comforts of Home! This 12' x 15' structure served as the Lecompton City Jail from 1892 until 1902. It replaced the original jail that had been built in 1859. It has a wooden door and floor and two small barred windows. The furnishings were elementary: straw ticking for bed, chair or stool, bucket for "necessities". With all this, who would want to go home!
