This colorful mural was painted in 2005 on the west entrance of the Intermediate Gym was a project by students of John Dewey Learning Academy when it was located in the historic Lecompton High School building.  (2 of 4 panels shown) 

 

 

 

     

 

 

This is a free-form project by the members of Ms. Sue Lattin's art classes in 2005-06.  Students researched the Wizard of Oz characters, planned and painted the scenes on the west entrance to the gymnasium located directly south of Territorial Capital Museum.

 

From Woodson Avenue, turn North on Halderman Street for full view of panorama.  Parking available in lot on N side of building.
