About this Exploration: Established in 1866, this cemetery is named after the Munsey Indians who used to inhabit the area. The cemetery consists of 190 acres and has over twenty-five types of trees. Several famous and infamous people are buried here including Fred Harvey, Governor Thomas Carney, and U.S. Supreme Court Justice David Brewer. Mount Muncie Cemetery is located just off of K-5 next to Leavenworth National Cemetery. |
