About this Exploration:



This park is named after Kenneth Bernard who served his country in the Army for over twenty years in various artillery and staff assignments.  His dedication to public service continued after life in the military.  He has served as Mayor of Lansing from 1983 to 1991 and 1993 to the present.  In 2007, Mayor Bernard received the "Kansas Mayor of the Year Award" from the Kansas Mayors Association.   The park has soccer fields and a state stocked fishing pond.  The city is making additional improvements and amenities to the park.
