About this Exploration:  The Dalton Gang's last successful bank robbery occurred in Dexter. From Dexter the Dalton Gang went to Coffeyville where they met their demise. Rumor has it that the original hitching post that the robbers tied their horses to still exists next to the bank building on Main Street. A great place for an "old west" photo, the hitching post is located at 131 S. Main.
